ID Theft Protection Sevices
YOU MUST HAVE A CHECKING, AND NOT IN ACCESS STATUS, IN ORDER TO HAVE THESE SERVICES!
At VA Desert Pacific Federal Credit Union, we value you as a member and we want to enhance the financial partnership we have with you. While our membership gives you great protection, and security, we are adding additional services to help combat the growing risk in identity theft.
Beginning March 1, 2016, we will implement stronger measures to safeguard your account as well as our financial institution against the growing dangers we are all facing. To ensure your protection we are embedding new security features (detailed below) within your checking account.
Added Services in Detail:
1. Fully Managed Identity Theft Research, Remediation, and Recovery Services
o Perform research to determine the extent of the problem, including a review of all three credit reports (if appropriate).
o Assist with the placement of fraud alerts with the three major credit bureaus.
o Write letters/ make calls on your behalf to dispute fraudulent information.
o Coordinate with government agencies, financial institutions, creditors, etc. to resolve incidents.
o Work with law enforcement to help to arrest and prosecute the criminals.
2. Lost Wallet & Document Replacement
o Professional Recovery Advocate will work on your behalf to replace your missing documents including credit/debit cards, birth certificate, passport, professional licenses, driver’s license, etc.
3. $10,000 ID Theft Expense Reimbursement Insurance
o Covered expenses include: Affidavit fees, notary fees, court costs, lost wages, attorney fees.
4. Three Generation Family Coverage
o Services extend to: Spouse or domestic partner, children up to age 25 in the same household, IRS qualified dependents, and parents in the same household or in an elderly care facility.
